Khabib Nurmagomedov Offers Jake Paul an MMA Contract

Khabib Nurmagomedov Offers Jake Paul an MMA Contract

Jake Paul recently took to Twitter to tease the possibility of making an MMA debut at Middleweight, tagging UFC President Dana White. Following the announcement, former UFC lightweight champion and all-time great Khabib Nurmagomedov offered Paul a contract to fight for his new MMA promotion, Eagle FC.

Despite his interest in joining MMA, Paul has persistently accused the CEO of the world’s largest MMA promotion company, Dana White, of mistreating and underpaying his fighters. He recently took it a step further by dropping a Dana White diss track that claims all proceeds go to “underpaid fighters in the UFC who get paid the $12k minimum.”

Earlier in the month, Paul said he would move to the UFC if White agrees on various demands including guaranteeing fighters 50% of annual revenues, a move that’s highly unlikely considering the current figure is well under 20%. Nurmagomedov’s public announcement means Paul won’t have to wait on White any longer.

“We offered him,” Nurmagomedov told reporters on Friday’s Eagle FC 44 event, “Now we’re waiting on his answer. If he wants, we’re here.” Other MMA promotions, Bellator and PFL have also recently voiced their interest in working with Paul.

The 25-year-old “Problem Child” is currently 4-0 in the boxing ring, defeating former Bellator welterweight champion Ben Askren, and former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley in his last two bouts.
