pgLang, the multi-faceted creative company founded by Kendrick Lamar and Dave Free, has debuted a surprising new collaboration: a smartphone built for minimal usage. pgLang teamed up with Light for a special edition of the LightPhone: a 4G LTE mobile phone that only offers the basics.
That, in Light terms, means calling and texting. It can also provide a hotspot but doesn’t have the capacity for emails, internet browsing or social media.
As part of pgLang’s goal to “embrace the present with less distractions,” the company has created a limited-edition blue colorway of the phone in a collaboration dubbed “pgLang for Light.”
The new colorway launched with a campaign teaser, showing a baby crawling around with the phone in hand.
Set to roll out on November 2, only 250 units of the phone will be available in a one-time drop on the pgLang website.
