Kendrick Lamar Lands Spotify’s Most-Streamed Rap Album of 2022

Kendrick Lamar Lands Spotify’s Most-Streamed Rap Album of 2022

Kendrick Lamar has come out on top with his comeback record Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers. According to new data from the music stream-tracking service Chart Data, the album was the most-streamed rap LP on Spotify in 2022, clocking in 1.4 billion streams.

Not far behind was Drake and 21 Savage’s Her Loss and Future’s I NEVER LIKED YOU, as well as Jack Harlow’s Come Home The Kids Miss You.

Lamar’s first solo album in five years debuted back in May to widespread popularity. Mr. Morale was confirmed in August to have become the first rap LP to surpass one billion streams, so this latest doesn’t come as much of a surprise.

Along with breaking records, the Compton rapper reigned supreme with eight GRAMMY nominations for Mr. Morale. He’s up for Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Best Rap Album, Best Rap Song, Best Rap Performance, Best Melodic Rap Performance and Song of the Year, along with Best Music Video for “The Heart Part 5.”
