Kendrick Lamar is back for seconds, taking to Instagram yet again to drop off some more new music. After surprise dropping “euphoria” on Tuesday – locked and loaded with hits at Drake and J. Cole, among others – K-Dot isn’t done quite yet, doubling down on his disses on “6:16 in LA.”
An Instagram-exclusive “6:16 in LA” pokes fun at The Boy’s tried-and-true titling format – a la “6PM in New York,” “8am on Bridle Path” and “4pm in Calabasas.” It’s also a subtle nod to 2pac, whose birthday is June 16.
Lamar comes in hot on the new cut, continuing to take straightforward shots at Drake’s neck.
“Have you ever thought that OVO was working for me? / Fake bully, I hate bullies, you must be a terrible person / Everyone inside your team is whispering that you deserve it / Can’t Toosie Slide up outta this one, it’s just gon’ resurface,” he asserts.
“But let me tell you some game, ’cause I can see you my lil’ homie / You playin’ dirty with propaganda, it blow up on ya / You’re playin’ nerdy with Zack Bia and Twitter bots / But your reality can’t hide behind Wi-Fi / Your lil memes is losing steam, they figured you out / The forced opinions is not convincin’, y’all need a new route.”
At the time of writing, “6:16 in LA” is exclusively available to stream on Kendrick’s Instagram. Stream it above and stay tuned to Hypebeast for more updates.
