Kaytraminé, the newly-formed duo project of Kaytranada and Aminé, have dropped another new song. Last month, the two artists enlisted Pharrell for their first official track as a duo, “4EVA.”
With just a few days left until Kaytranada and Aminé drop their eponymous Kaytraminé album, they’ve returned with “Rebuke,” which hears Aminé intersperse his punchy raps with falsetto vocals to narrate the experience of forcing yourself to move on after a relationship ends.
“Excuses soundin’ like I need to find mysеlf / Just admit that this ain’t workin’, no respect was dealt,” he raps in the first verse. “Can’t еven lie, it hurt me to see you with someone else / But I know movin’ on is better than to sit and dwell.”
While the single is all Kaytranada and Aminé, the LP will also include features from Amaarae, Big Sean, Snoop Dogg and Freddie Gibbs, along with the Pharrell track. Fans can look forward to the Kaytraminé album debuting on streaming services everywhere come Friday, May 19.
In the meantime, stream the duo’s new track “Rebuke.”
