New York’s Skarstedt gallery just announced that they will hold a new solo exhibition next month called “KAWS: SPOKE TOO SOON.”
Constantly in the headlines for a number of sculptural projects and crossovers into pop culture, KAWS most recently worked with Fortnite on a “COMPANION” Halloween skin pack. “KAWS: SPOKE TOO SOON” comes fresh off the heels of his retrospective at the Brooklyn Museum, which was accompanied by a number of complementary projects such as a large sculpture in front of the Rockefeller Center and a dense monograph by Phaidon.
Located on the Upper East Side, Skarstedt gallery has featured a number of legendary and contemporary artists, such as David Salle, whose “Tree of Life” exhibition is on view until October 30 — along with exhibitions on Jean-Michel Basquiat and George Condo. “KAWS: SPOKE TOO SOON” is the artist’s fourth solo exhibition with Skarstedt and will present a series of new paintings and sculptures from November 5 to December 11.
Elsewhere, Jaume Plensa unveiled his largest sculpture to date on the Hudson River Waterfront.
