Kanye West’s Instagram account has been restricted for policy violations, the Hollywood Reporter reports. Meta, the social media platform’s parent company, restricts user’s accounts for repeated policy violations—preventing them from posting, commenting, or sending messages—but did not specify which content from West’s account was removed. Pitchfork has reached out to representatives for Meta and Kanye West for comment.
West had previously posted screenshots of alleged texts with Sean “Puffy” Combs aka Diddy. In one post viewed by Pitchfork, captioned with “Jesus is Jew,” he says “Ima use you as an example to show the Jewish people that told you to call me that no one can threaten or influence me.” The post is no longer on West’s account. West later posted a plea to Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg on Twitter, saying:
In March, West’s Instagram account was suspended for 24 hours after posting a slur targeting The Daily Show host Trevor Noah. In June, Kanye honored Diddy at the 2022 BET Awards.
