Kanye West followed up the Vultures album rave livestream with the launch of a news platform called YEWS.
The Yews.News site is currently only available to access via mobile and features two designated drop-down menus dubbed “10AM” and “3PM” and includes articles relating to Ye, fashion, politics, sports, pop culture, tech and more, with each news article opening with a piece of artwork in the header.
For West-related news, the articles highlight a pre-order for Vultures with a release date of February 15 and the announcement of Gosha Rubchinskiy joining YEEZY as its newest Head of Design. Meanwhile, news around the world include Elon Musk’s plan for a new university in Austin, Texas, PUMA’s termination of its sponsorship of the Israeli national soccer team and Draymon Green’s physical incident with Jusuf Nurkić during the Warrios vs. Suns game, to name a few.
In early October, it was revealed that Ye filed multiple trademark applications for the use of “YEWS” including projects/items across education, advertising, banking services, music streaming, TV, beauty care, food and drink, games, clothing, footwear, cookware, alcoholic beverages and more.
