Kanye West Just Dropped a ‘DONDA’ Stem Player

Ahead of his fourth album listening event in Chicago, Kanye West has updated his website with a new product: the DONDA Stem Player. This new music device is made in partnership with Kano — a start-up company that’s based out in London.

So what does this contraption do? Well according to the product description found on Ye’s website, the Stem Player allows you to customize any song, meaning you can “control vocals, drums, bass, and samples, isolate parts, add effects, or split any song into stems. Visually, the technological piece is shaped in circular form, and comes manufactured with a soft silicone skin that’s drenched in beige. Surrounding its circular button in the center are four directional arrows that light up with blue and red hues. The upper right side features volume control buttons while the left side bears a 97DB speaker and 3.5mm audio jack. A carrying case and USB-C cable are packaged with the stem player.

This release comes as no surprise given that Ye was oft-spotted using a similar device during the peak of his Sunday Service performances and he also mentioned the product in a past interview with Zane Lowe.

The DONDA Stem Player is now available on Kanye’s website for $200 USD and it will ship with the album (whenever that is).

In case you missed it, HYPEBEAST dived into a timeline of Kanye West’s elusive DONDA album.
