Donda is the tenth studio album by American rapper Kanye West. It was released through GOOD Music on August 29, 2021, and distributed by Def Jam Recordings.
West recorded much of the material at multiple locations in the summer of 2021, including Bighorn Mountain Ranch in Wyoming and Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.
It features guest vocals from the Sunday Service Choir, Jay-Z, Playboi Carti, Lil Baby, the Weeknd, Vory, DaBaby, and Marilyn Manson; vocals from Chris Brown were also included.
West, BoogzDaBeast, Dem Jointz, Mike Dean, and Ojivolta primarily helmed its production.
“Hurricane” is the fifth record of the album. While Donda is more of Kanye on his vulnerable
state even as he carefully recorded the many moments through the album, he hosted a variety of creators and when it comes to “Hurricane” he goes from the surface, deeper into himself on both personal levels as it intercepts with his successful career path which has been through the thick and thin, even as he doesn’t relegate his love life anyway. Well, the storytelling and lyrical dexterity of the record are broad and interesting.
Hurricane, houses The Weeknd, Lil Baby, and himself (Kanye West) upon a mild tempo tune orchestrated with pop and dubbed with early 2000s hip-hop mashups seeming like a track featuring Drake, plus a delivery alike tending to be powered by his creative expressions notwithstanding Kanye and Champagnepapi recently sealed the rifts between there beef and it would be logical for them to eventually have a remix of this record together, it’d taste very syrupy.
TOP PICKS FOR YOU:
Kanye West promises the deluxe version of the album. Logically having a Drake feature on this track wouldn’t be wrong either; it’d come in such a perfect alignment for the remix of “Hurricane” on the delux.
While “Hurricane” cuts across Ye’s syrupy flow and calmness which is more introspective as much as his previous effort in the early days of his career.
Lil Baby, however, opened the record with a spanking first verse along with the chorus and hook of The Weeknd, and it seems more like choristers joint and was good
Hurricane’s theme isn’t definite, it is personal and is also more of an introspection rope back to his career path with a few snapshots of what he has gone through not excluding his love between himself and Kim.
Well, it was good but suggesting a Drake remix for this same record wouldn’t be terrible either. The records production credits go to BoogzDabeat amongst others.
