Justin Bieber’s ‘Peaches’ Becomes His Eighth No. 1 on Pop Airplay Chart

Justin Bieber’s ‘Peaches’ Becomes His Eighth No. 1 on Pop Airplay Chart

Here’s a recap of Bieber’s eight Pop Airplay No. 1s:

“What Do You Mean?,” two weeks at No. 1, October 2015
“Sorry,” three weeks, January 2016
“Love Yourself,” five weeks, February-March 2016
“Cold Water” (Major Lazer feat. Bieber & MO), one week, October 2016
“Despacito” (Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee feat. Bieber), five weeks, July-August 2017
“I Don’t Care” (with Ed Sheeran), three weeks, July-August 2019
“Intentions” (feat. Quavo), one week, June 2020
“Peaches” (feat. Daniel Caesar & Giveon), one week to-date, May 2021

Bieber ties Ariana Grande and Justin Timberlake for the seventh-most Pop Airplay No. 1s, dating to the chart’s October 1992 inception, after Maroon 5, Katy Perry and Rihanna — the leaders with 11 apiece — and Bruno Mars, P!nk and Taylor Swift (nine each).

Meanwhile, “Peaches” rebounds for a second week atop the Rhythmic Airplay chart, where it became Bieber’s fifth No. 1.

The track, from Bieber’s eighth Billboard 200 No. 1 album Justice, concurrently rises 15-14 on Adult Pop Airplay, where Bieber boasts five top 15 entries this year. No one else has more than two in that span. Plus, on Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay, “Peaches” pushes 17-16, tying last year’s “Yummy” for Bieber’s highest career rank on the chart as a lead artist.
