Jujutsu Kaisen has launched an official collaboration with Coca-Cola, debuting a commercial for the new Jujutsu Kaisen 0 feature film, which recently premiered in theaters across Japan with the second-biggest opening in Japan box office history. The new studio MAPPA film is set before the events of the main story and follows student Yuta Okkotsu, who becomes a sorcerer under the guidance of Satoru Gojo in order to learn to control the Cursed Spirit of his childhood friend Rika.
Since the main story protagonist Yuji Itadori will not appear in the film, as it takes place a year before he is introduced to sorcery, he is seen watching a fight scene from Jujutsu Kaisen 0 before he’s punched by the plush training bot from the original anime series.
In addition to the commercial, collaborative Coca-Cola merch items are also being released in Japan including cups as well as an assortment of plastic sleeves and file folders which are given for free when purchasing select Coca-Cola products at the supermarket.
