A new JPEGMAFIA project appears to be on the horizon…
After announcing his Lay Down My Life Tour last week, Peggy has unleashed his first solo single since 2021 – an experimental offering dubbed “don’t rely on other men” – and shared an update on his forthcoming full-length record.
“album on the way,” he revealed in an Instagram caption after promising a new project was en route a few weeks back.
“don’t rely on other men” marks the first single lifted from the project, which sees Peggy feature frequent collaborator FREAKY – as well as a sample from Succession.
“Uh, say that / Uh, say that / Wanna cry on the bus or the Maybach? / If you hatе me, my n***a, just say that,” the rapper repeatedly asserts on the high-octane cut’s chorus.
Accompanied by a gritty, black-and-white aestheticized visual, “don’t trust other men” arrives a little over a year since the rapper’s last project, SCARING THE HOES with Danny Brown.
Peggy’s lengthy North American tour kicks off in August, and it doesn’t seem unlikely that an EP or LP should surface before then.
Stream “don’t rely on other men” on Spotify, Apple Music and other DSPs now, and stay tuned to Hypebeast for more updates on new JPEGMAFIA music.
