Jon Batiste has seemingly worked with everyone in the music industry, from Stevie Wonder to Prince. The prolific musician and singer will add to that list on his new album, World Music Radio.
Scheduled to release on August 18, the LP will see Batiste explore the term “world music,” asking the question of can’t all music be considered world music?
On the project, he’ll collaborate with fellow artists across genres, including Lil Wayne, J.I.D, Lana Del Rey, Kenny G, NewJeans, Camilo, Native Soul, Jon Bellion and Fireboy DML.
“I created this album with a feeling of liberation in my life and a renewed sense of exploration of my personhood, my craft and of the world around me unlike anything I had ever felt before,” Batiste said.
World Music Radio will follow Batiste’s last LP, WE ARE, which was awarded Best Album at the 64th Grammy Awards, along with four other accolades.
