It looks like Quentin Tarantino has set the cast for his upcoming film The Movie Critic and it is looking to be a Pulp Fiction reunion.
According to Hollywood insider Jeff Sneider, John Travolta is slated to have a role in The Movie Critic. While no official announcement has been made just yet due to the Hollywood strikes, the whole film is said to be casted. If the rumors are true, Travolta will be starring alongside Samuel L. Jackson in the film. Earlier this year, The Daily Express reported that Tarantino wanted to give Bruce Willis his last-ever film appearance following his frontotemporal dementia diagnosis. All three actors — Travolta, Jackson and Willis — all starred in the director’s titular 1994 Pulp Fiction film.
When speaking with Deadline about The Movie Critic recently, Tarantino said that the film is based on a real-life critic for a porn magazine and is set in Southern California in 1977, “He wrote about mainstream movies and he was the second-string critic. I think he was a very good critic. He was cynical as hell. His reviews were a cross between early Howard Stern and what Travis Bickle might be if he were a film critic.”
