Cordae continues to gear up for the release of The Crossroads, which is now just one week away. After giving us four singles prior, the rapper has dropped off “Syrup Sandwiches” with Joey Bada$$, presumably the final single ahead of the long-awaited album’s release
Produced by Smoko Ono and Thelonius Martin, the new track hears Cordae reflect on his success and resilience, making reference to his daughter, Thundercat and Justin Timberlake in the lyrics.
“Your team weak, like Justin Timberlake, y’all been out of sync / A n*gga skatin’ on the beat, shit, I could rent out the rink / I gotta get this money first, shawty, then I can link,” he delivers on the first verse, with Bada$$ continuing the heat on the second.
While a tracklist for Cordae’s communally awaited third studio album still remains under wraps, the project is confirmed to clock in at 17 tracks, including this summer’s “Saturday Mornings” with Lil Wayne and “Summer Drop” with Anderson .Paak, last month’s “Mad as F*ck” and 2023’s “Two Tens” with .Paak again.
Stream “Syrup Sandwiches” on Spotify and Apple Music now and keep an eye out for The Crossroads when it drops on streaming services next Friday,
