Dakar, Senegal’s capital city, may have hosted the first edition of the Africn Music Revolution Tour this year, but Ghanaian artiste Jacob Gonami Kordzo Agbenuvor, who is fondly known as JJ Gonami, stole the spotlight at the event.

An Afrobeat and Afropop artiste, Jacob Gonami Kordzo Agbenuvor joined other celebrated African
musicians like Uba One, Mohammed VJ, Kayawoto, Paco Briz, Ntosh Gazi, Mr. Seed, Ngaaka Blinde, Mist Cash, Emma Cheruto, Rj the Dj, Dj Ylb, Dj Zeyna Senegal, to put on a breathtaking show on February 11, 2023, at the African Renaissance Monument, as part of the first edition of the African Music Revolution Tour.

The capital of the West African country vibrated to the electrifying performance by Jacob Gonami Kordzo Agbenuvor and other prolific songwriters and performers. The African Music Revolution Tour is a revolutionary music concept that combines the most talented African artists, iconic venues in several different countries and state-of-the-art technology, which allows fans to enjoy incredible musical performances in real-life or virtually/digitally across multiple platforms, including the metaverse.

It was Jacob Gonami Kordzo Agbenuvor’s first trip to Ghana, and he rightly documented the experiences; from take off in Ghana to arrival in Dakar, interaction with the people and city, as well as a live interview at VibeTV/Radio 102.3 FM, where he professed love for Senegal.

“This is my first time in Senegal, Dakar is beautiful, lovely people, you know I love it. I’m a versatile artiste, I have Afrobeat songs and Afropop. Watch out for me on the stage,”
Jacob Gonami Kordzo Agbenuvor said.

JJ Gonami was compelled by the host to perform one of his several best tracks, “Abi.” The Ghana music star left other artistes on the media tour vibing to the track; giving the fans a sneak peek into what awaited them.

Thousands of fans besieged the event venue for an entertaining time, and when Jacob Gonami Kordzo Agbenuvor mounted the podium, loud ring of cheer and excited filled the arena, after they had throughly enjoyed his energetic and enthralling performance.

The event, which was staged by Lorenzo Art Music Entertainment and G3C label, is a concept that combines the most talented African artistes, iconic venues in several different countries in the continent and the state-of-the-art technology to tell the African story.
