JAY-Z’s Monogram Cannabis Line Releases Slim Aarons Inspired Campaign Prints

JAY-Z’s Monogram Cannabis Line Releases Slim Aarons Inspired Campaign Prints

Following the release of its first line of goods back in December of last year, JAY-Z Monogram cannabis line comes out with a lavish campaign inspired by mid-century photographer Slim Aarons. “Attractive people doing attractive things in attractive places,” Aarons once described his practice.

Shot by Hype Williams, the photo series captures the essence of the late Aaron’s iconic society vignettes that feature personalities in the fashion, entertainment and food industries. Inspiration taken from works such as “Keep Your Cool,” “Desert House Party,” “Poolside Glamour” and “Leisure and Fashion” produced a swirl of luxurious summer backyard shindig vibes. The campaign highlights New Orleans rapper Curren$y along with Chika, Aleali May, Slick Woods and culinary experts and activists Ghetto Gastro in the spread.

“The perception around cannabis has shifted a lot since the 20th century. If you were to ask me and my peers how we’d define the good life today, weed would definitely be a part of it,” said Williams. “Whether we’re smoking to inspire creativity or to celebrate an achievement, cannabis has a rightful place in modern-day culture.”

Each print retails for $320 USD, with just 10 of each photo produced. Head over to Caliva and The Webster to cop a piece.

Elsewhere in art, Erik Parker releases whimsical panel sets with AllRightsReserved.
