JAY-Z’s highly-anticipated The Harder They Fall collabs with Kid Cudi, entitled “Guns Go Bang,” and with Jadakiss and Conway The Machine, entitled “King Kong Riddim,” are both here.
Clocking in at approximately three-and-a-half minutes, “Guns Go Bang” cut hears the pair deliver lyricism appropriate for the Western film as they touch on revenge and violence. “Don’t tempt my hand, I’m just a man / A deadly scene, a weathered bein’ / Men must cry where soldiers lie on threatened land,” Cudi sings in the pre-chorus, with the track sonically supported by vibrant strings that give it an epic atmosphere. Meanwhile, “King Kong Riddim” offers a more aggressive tone with fast-paced rhymes from Hov, Jadakiss, Conway and guest artist BackRoad Gee.
The soundtrack of The Harder They Fall also includes tracks from the likes of Ms. Lauryn Hill, Koffee, CeeLo Green and more. The Netflix western, which stars Jonathan Majors, Idris Elba, LaKeith Stanfield, Regina King and more premiere on the streaming service on November 3.
