JAY-Z celebrated his 54th birthday with a total of 19 new gold and platinum certifications from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
The artist took home 10 gold plaques for “Lucifer,” “Oceans” with Frank Ocean, “D.O.A.,” “Encore,” “Bam” with Damian Marley, “Lost One” with Chrisette Michele, “Family Feud” with Beyoncé, “Public Service Announcement (Interlude),” “Girls, Girls, Girls” and “Heart of the City (Ain’t No Love).”
Hov’s singles “Izzo (H.O.V.A.),” “The Story of O.J.,” “On To The Next One” with Swizz Beatz, “Part II (On The Run)” and “4:44” earned their first platinum certifications while “Holy Grail” is now 5x platinum and “Young Forever” and “Big Pimpin’” are both now 3x platinum.
