Janelle Monáe Announces Tour in Support of Forthcoming LP ‘The Age of Pleasure’

Ahead of the upcoming release of her new album, The Age of Pleasure, Janelle Monáe has announced a North American tour. The run will begin in Seattle, Washington’s WAMU Theater on August 30, followed by stops in Atlanta, Chicago, Manhattan, Brooklyn and more.

After hitting the East Coast, Monáe will head back west with later stops in cities such as Inglewood, San Francisco, Phoenix and Houston.

The Age of Pleasure will arrive as the singer’s first album in five years, the follow-up to 2018’s Grammy-nominated Dirty Computer. Monáe recently shared one of the 14 tracks off of the LP, “Lipstick Lover,” along with an official visual directed by Alan Ferguson and the singer herself.

“I hope that people feel that when they listen to the music, that they feel that when they come and, you know, counter with me when I’m around, I definitely have had an opportunity to evolve and grow and to tap into the things that bring me pleasure, the things that perhaps I should rethink and rework,” Monáe told Apple Music 1’s Zane Lowe.

Check out the full list of Monáe’s tour stops below. The Age of Pleasure is out in full on June 9.
