Gallery All has announced the release of Taiwanese-American artist, James Jean’s latest artwork, White Tiger — a custom rug that spans the width of 250cm x 173cm in height and is composed of New Zealand wool and Chinese silk.
With White Tiger, James Jean conveys a different side of his artistic approach. Although his artworks are often experimental and come in a range of mediums, the White Tiger is a piece that can be touched by the audience, thus offering an interactive experience that brings the viewer closer to Jean’s dream-like world.
Not dissimilar to Jean’s other artworks, the White Tiger is presented in the artist’s hyper-stylized aesthetics and expressionistic, dream-like fantasies. The elements presented in the piece also represent auspiciousness, good fortune, strength, and vitality in Chinese culture.
James Jean’s White Tiger is made in an edition of three and is currently available for viewing. For more information, head to Gallery All’s website.
In case you missed it, Shen the T. Rex was pulled from the upcoming Christie’s Hong Kong auction.
