Back in December, A24 released the trailer for its eclectic new science fiction film, Everything Everywhere All At Once, starring Michelle Yeoh, Ke Huy Quan, James Hong, Stephanie Hsu, and Harry Shum Jr. Written and directed by Dan Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, the story follows an aging Chinese immigrant who is launched into an unnerving adventure where she is tasked with saving the world by tapping into alternate universes with the lives she could have lived.

Taiwanese-American artist James Jean was enlisted to create the poster art for the upcoming movie. World-renowned for his hyper-stylized aesthetic that floats between dreamlike fantasies that often carry brooding undertones, Jean imbues a number of references to build his worlds — from Chinese and Japanese scroll paintings to more modern movements, such as anime and comics.
Emblematic of his past work, Jean created a hypnotic composition that, similar to the film’s synopsis, takes the viewer through parallel journeys of epic proportions. Everything Everywhere All At Once will release on March 25, 2022.
Elsewhere in art, Lee Bae presents “Black in Constellation” at Perrotin.
