James Harden Will Reportedly Take $15 Million USD Pay Cut With New Philadelphia 76ers Contract

Shortly after opting out of his $47.4 million USD player option, James Harden will now reportedly take a $15 million USD pay cut during the upcoming NBA season after he inked a new two-year deal with the Philadelphia 76ers.

According to The Athletic, the SG’s new contract — which includes a player option in the second year — will give the Sixers “financial flexibility to bolster the roster” as they attempt to win the 2023 NBA Championship. Harden’s relationship with the Sixers execs, such as Michael Rubin and Daryl Morey, supposedly “played a major role in trust between the two sides.”

Elsewhere in sports, Nick Kyrgios was fined after he was wearing Jordans on the Wimbledon court.
