Jamaican Pop Artist Shenseea Shares Sophomore Album ‘Never Gets Late Here’

Shenseea has delivered her rhythmic sophomore album, Never Gets Late Here. Arriving two years after her debut LP Alpha, the singer leads with her signature Jamaican pop sound while dipping into an eclectic assemblage of other genres.

Across the album’s 14 songs, Shenseea touches on dancehall, hip hop and R&B. Some tracks even see her DJ. On the other end of the spectrum, “Face Lift” is a melodic ballad with soaring vocals.

The project was executive produced by London on Da Track and features guest appearances from Wizkid, Coi Leray, Anitta, Masicka and Di Genius.

“This album was curated with timeless records that appeal to many cultures,” Shenseaa described the LP. “Still maintaining my Jamaican authenticity, I infused my affinity for other genres such as pop and R&B. My fans will find summer anthems and songs to bring them motivation, joy and inspiration.”

Prior to releasing her own album, Shenseea rose to fame after appearing on Ye’s Donda LP on the track “Pure Souls” alongside Roddy Ricch.
