Since Jake Paul‘s fight with Tommy Fury was canceled on August 6 due to Fury’s inability to arrive in the United States, Paul has shown his been eager to get another big name fight out to remind people he still means business.
Initially, Paul was the one who ultimately terminated his fighting contract with Fury. Since then, fans have been eager to know who he will be fighting next. Now, it appears that Paul has made his official announcement that he will be going up against a professional boxer for the very first time. Replacing Fury for his August 6 Madison Square Garden timeslot, Paul is taking on Hasim Rahman Jr., son of boxer Hasim Rahman. Rahman Jr. comes into the fight with a 12-1 record, giving Paul a great challenge. Paul hopes that if he wins this fight, people will be taking him seriously as a professional boxer.
The YouTuber-turned-fighter announced on Twitter the matchup and revealed that the press conference and tickets will go on sale starting July 12. Stay tuned for more as this story unfolds.
