More details are starting to come out about Jack White‘s big plans for 2022. Back in November, we learned that he’s planning on releasing a pair of albums in the coming months (April’s Fear of Dawn and July’s Entering Heaven Alive). Last month, the former White Stripe announced his globe-trotting “The Supply Chain Issues Tour.” Now, we know a little bit more, thanks to a recent interview with LA radio station Alt 98.7.
First off, White released a live video for “Taking Me Back” shot during his rehearsals for the upcoming tour. The video also showed that the songwriter will be hitting the road with a full quartet, with Quincy McCrary joining the trio from 2020’s SNL performance featuring Dominic Davis and Daru Jones. You can see that video below.

As for the rest of the conversation, the 11-minute conversation with host Chris Booker includes highlights like a discussion on how he intends to release the first single from his second album of the year next week (before the year’s first album is even out), the wide variety of tunes he’ll be playing on tour from his entire multi-band discography (“I haven’t used a setlist in 20 years”), and how the two albums just kind of unintentionally fell into place. Check out the entire clip below.
