While former NBA star J.R. Smith may be best known for his time on basketball courts, he’s no slouch when it comes to golf. Having enrolled at North Carolina A&T State University in the fall of 2021, Smith joined the university’s golf squad as a walk-on and was later celebrated as the school’s Academic Athlete of the Year with a 4.0 GPA.
Now, he continues to share his love of the game with the world as he teams up with multi-hyphenate Ben Baller and Malbon Golf founder Stephen Malbon to introduce the Par 3 Podcast. Together, they each present a unique perspective and rich history from their respective industries while sharing a common love — golf. Kicking things off, they discuss how they ended up together, each of their introductions to the sport, aspirations for the show and more. Upcoming guest appearances include the likes of Michelle Wie West, Sean Malto and George Lopez.
The first episode of the Par 3 Podcast is available for streaming now via YouTube and podcast platforms.
