Both J. Cole and Jack Harlow are known to be avid basketball fans, and now, the rappers have taken their obsession one step further by becoming playable characters in NBA 2K23.
For a limited time only, the rappers will take court as part of 2K’s MyTEAM mode crossover series. Players can choose to compete as Cole or Harlow in the special mode and complete spotlight challenges to earn exclusive celebrity cards.
The game didn’t specify exactly how long the Cole and Harlow characters would be available, so those interested should pick up the controller while they still have the chance.
The partnership is especially fitting, given that Cole stars on the Dreamer Edition cover of this year’s 2K and appears both in the game and on its soundtrack.
“NBA 2K has long been a place to discover new musical talent through their game and continues to be a gold standard for showcasing all things basketball culture,” Cole said. “It’s been an amazing journey to not only appear on a cover of this year’s game, but to be part of the MyCAREER storyline, soundtrack and bring the Dreamer brand into NBA 2K.”
The rapper also teased that there’s more to come, so 2K players should “watch out for all things Dreamville and Dreamer brand drops during Seasons and for Bas and Elite in this year’s MyCareer story.”
