My love of fashion has ever so slightly dwindled this year, as all of my favourite dresses, shoes, and accessories have been retired to the back of my wardrobe, and “dressing up” has become a distant memory. Instead of hunting for new brands and items in my spare time, I’ve become obsessed with homeware, so my Christmas shopping reflects this shift. Spending so much time inside my home over the past year has really made me think about how I can make my space feel special and comforting, and my Christmas wish list this year is filled with items that will make me love my space even more in 2021.
Just like clothes, homeware can be difficult to buy for someone else, as it is so personal, especially when it comes to big purchases. So for this gift guide, I’ve split it into three categories, with gift ideas for maximalists who love colour and prints, for those who want their homes to be calm and neutral, and for those who want to shop from independent brands and secondhand to make a home that feels truly unique. Within each category, I’ve included both small items such as colourful candles and quirky prints (that can be given to a friend or a relative who is tricky to buy for) and bigger ticket items, from vintage chairs to beautiful rugs.
