ITV Racing Tips for 27 November – See Expert Picks for Stellar Saturday from Newbury & Newcastle

ITV Racing tips

On Saturday, 27 November, all punters should read ITV Racing tips before piling into eight live races on terrestrial TV. Check out the horses to back, according to industry insiders and popular pundits.

It’s a busy of ITV Racing with five live races from the second day of the Newbury Winter Carnival. The big betting race there is the Ladbrokes Trophy, historically known as the Hennessy Gold Cup. On top of that, ITV Racing tipsters also give two or three fancies from the Fighting Fifth Hurdle card up at Newcastle.

The big guns are out in force on the expert panel for these eight races. ITV Racing tips from the mighty Ruby Walsh, fellow jockey Mick Fitzgerald and betting ring maestro Matt Chapman feature. What races feature for our beloved pundits to pick the winner of this time? Here’s a quick breakdown of the action.

Newbury the Main Focus for ITV Racing Tipsters

A 2m 6f handicap chase named in honour of legendary commentator Sir Peter O’Sullevan is the first scheduled event on ITV Racing on 27 November (1:15). Don’t expect much consensus of opinion with Matt Chapman tips and the former top riders here. It’s the same story in the next live race from Newbury after that, a 2m 4f handicap hurdle (1:50) and the Gerry Feilden Intermediate Hurdle, another handicap over 2m (2:25).

Mick Fitzgerald tips mirror former weighing room colleague Walsh in the feature Ladbrokes Trophy (3:00) with both siding with Eklat De Rire, who is a strong fancy on horse racing betting sites for the spoils. Chapman prefers Enrilo, who was first past the post in the Bet365 Gold Cup at Sandown only for the stewards to disqualify him afterwards.

In the eighth and final contest on ITV Racing this Saturday, the 2m Jim Joel Memorial Trophy Handicap Chase (3:35), Grey Diamond is among Ruby Walsh tips and Fitzy agrees. Chapman sides with Eclair D’Ainay each way in another competitive Newbury handicap to close the show. See all the picks from these popular pundits in the table below:

Epatante the Newcastle NAP for Pundits

Leading British hurdler Epatante won the Fighting Fifth Hurdle in very easy style 12 months ago, so she’s back for a repeat bid (3:15). All of the ITV Racing tipsters agree she is the one to be on, and the case for her is a strong one. Even though Epatante only finished third to Honeysuckle in her defence of the Champion Hurdle and again at Punchestown, that remains the best form on offer.

Sharjah, home in front of Nicky Henderson and JP McManus’ mare on both occasions, has come out and won a Grade 1 in Ireland this autumn. Epatante also meets last year’s runner-up Sceau Royal off the same terms and similar circumstances. She had the beating of Alan King’s runner that day, so there is no reason to think otherwise.

Elsewhere at Newcastle, both Chapman and Walsh like the consistent Aye Right in the Listed 2m 7f Rehearsal Handicap Chase earlier on the card (2:05). Harriet Graham’s horse ran a string of fine races in defeat last term. Fitzgerald goes for the top weight Nuts Well, who carries top weight and tries the trip for the first time.

Chappers and Ruby also like Valleres stepping up in distance for the 2m 7f novices’ limited handicap chase at Newcastle (1:30). Another running for King and owners Simon Munir and Issac Souede, this horse looks well-treated in relation to his hurdles mark. The NAP among ITV Racing tips is Epatante without question, though.
