It’s been a huge week for Kelsea Ballerini, and there’s still a weekend to come.
On Wednesday, the Tennessee singer and songwriter performed her hit single “Hole in the Bottle” at the 2020 CMA Awards, filling in as a late call-up due to several performers being unwell or exposed to COVID-19.
At midnight Thursday, the country star dropped a new cut of “Hole in the Bottle” from her Kelsea set, this time featuring the legendary Canadian singer Shania Twain.
On it, Shania sings: “I keep my cool I play by all the rules/ I swear ten minutes ago that bottle was full/ And I won’t cry/ About love gone wrong/ Cause tears would water down this ruby red I’m sippin’ on.”
It’s something of a comeback for Shania, whose last album Now, from September 2017, followed a period of ill health. Prior to that, her last album of new material was 2002’s Up!.
