Interscope Records continues its 30th anniversary celebrations of Dr. Dre‘s The Chronic with the second drop of “The Chronic Masters” collection.
Created in collaboration with Trophy, drop two is fronted by The Masters print, an archival pigment print utilizing imagery of the album’s master tapes sides A and B that was shot by Jeremy Deputat. There’s also The Session Stacks which features all the session tapes and The Session Grid print which sees the original session tapes from all the singles on the record. Each print is sized at 24 inches by 24 inches and features chop-marked, numbered, hand-embossed The Chronic leaf detailing and a certificate of authenticity. Drop two’s most coveted collectible, however, is The Session Tapes Stacks Replica — a lifesize replica of the re-discovered master tapes that’s only available to 30 lucky fans.
In addition, the drop includes five limited edition skateboard decks, including a limited The Chronic deck and four limited edition T-shirts with imagery of the session tapes, “Let Me Ride” and the Ampex 456 Tape.
Check out drop two above. The “The Chronic Masters” is available on October 3 via the official webstore with prices ranging from $42 USD to $1,200 USD.
