Start the morning off with an interactive lesson over Brazilian capoeira, which is an Afrodiasporic art form with influences from martial arts and dance! Taught by Lindsay Puente, founder and director of Fort Worth Capoeira.
11:00 a.m. – 12:20 p.m. | Food Court Area
Next, get dancing and smiling to the irresistible sound of Afrobeats, a Nigerian music genre that combines several West African musical styles. Taught by Obi, a Dallas based dancer, singer, and choreographer.
12:30 – 1:50 p.m.
Start your afternoon off with an International fashion show put on by the COOL ‘Cultures Of Other Languages’ Club. Last, get ready to feel the explosive energy of Rio de Janeiro’s carnaval with Dallas based United Dance Academy’s Samba Troupe. Adobo Puerto Rican Café will cater to attendees. Attendees must plan to stay for the entire event.
