Ice Spice has officially announced the release date for her upcoming debut album, Y2K. The Bronx born-and-raised rapper has been one of the biggest names in the game recently, even scoring four Grammy nominations and a performance with Taylor Swift on The Eras Tour and at Coachella. Despite clocking in just less than half an hour of released music, Ice Spice’s hits just keep coming.
Taking to X and Instagram to reveal to her fans the official release date, Y2K is dropping later this summer. She wrote on X, “HIIIII >. Y2K ☆ THE ALBUM WILL BE DROPPING JULY 26TH !!!! pre-save now,” and shared a link to pre-save the album. In a conversation with Variety previously, she mentioned that her album was finished back in March, “I finished recording y2kY2K the album.” The long-awaited and teased Y2K album will be Ice Spice’s first full-length album. Known for hard hitting tracks like “Boys a liar Pt. 2” with PinkPantheress, “Princess Diana Remix” and “Barbie World” with Nicki Minaj as well as “Think U The Shit (Fart),” Ice Spice has garnered quite the name for herself already.
Keeping busy ahead of the album release, Ice Spice has also been cast to star in Spike Lee’s High and Low crime thriller with Denzel Washington. Take a look at the announcement of her upcoming debut album Y2K below.
