HVW8 Gallery is back with an exciting group show entitled “On the Corner.” The exhibition seeks to reconnect the gallery with the artistic community that calls Berlin home.
“On the Corner” will feature paintings and photographs from a list of artists, which include 44 Flavours, Clemens Behr, Alex Flach, Monja Gentschow, Christian Hoosen, John Kleckner, Thomas Marecki, Nikita Teryoshin and Filippos Telesto.
Like all cities, the residents of the German capital have had to deal and adjust to the pandemic in their own unique ways — with some having to move studios and change their practice altogether. Curated by Manuel Osterholt, the show’s diverse artistic offerings showcases a sort of escapism for these creatives, in a time that has shown to be the most challenging in recent memory.
Unique to the show is that select series’ from each of the artists will be on view together for the first time. “On the Corner” kicked off earlier this week and will be on view until October 20.
Also on view in Berlin, Louise Lawler has captured Donald Judd’s ethereal sculptures in an entirely new light
