Dozens of vendors, healthcare service providers and other exhibitors focused on promoting healthy lifestyles will be featured at the Huron Daily Tribune Healthy Living Expo on Saturday, March 11.
The event, which is free to attend, runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Laker Legacy Center, 6136 Pigeon Road in Pigeon.
The expo will feature health and wellness exhibits, live cooking and fitness demonstrations, inflatables for children and more. New this year is a food truck, Farm 2 You, hourly drawings for kids and adults and ocean drum-making for kids.
Tribune Advertising Director Renee Willis said the expo is geared for all ages and will include interactive events from exhibitors like troopers from the Michigan State Police Caro Post, who will be on hand with the MSP’s Fatal Vision Pedal Carts for demonstrations throughout the day to offer youth the opportunity to experience the dangers of operating a vehicle while impaired.
“I am so excited for this year’s event,” Willis said. “It is going to be a fun day for all ages with great information and demonstrations, including cooking from Cinamon Marker from Laker Schools and Sound Bath by Centered by Sound.”
“We are very happy that Bay Shore Camp will be back with their inflatables, (which are) free for the kids,” WIllis added.
The state-of-the-art Laker Legacy Center will once again host the expo, and Willis said Saturday offers a great chance for the public to check out it out up close if they haven’t already.
“Laker Schools has the perfect facility — the Legacy Center — for this event, and this is a great opportunity for everyone to see this building,” she said.
Willis said there are a few spots left for vendors, and anyone interested in a table can contact her at 989-550-4151.
