Huawei has just released the newest member of the Y Series – the Y5p – in South Africa.
The Y5p sports a 5.45-inch Huawei FullView Display for a wider field of view. The 18:9, 5.45-inch LCD display not only gives an exceptional viewing experience but also displays content in vibrant colours.
It comes with a standard 2GB RAM and 32GB storage as well as a triple-slot design that can house two nano SIMs and one Micro SD (sold separately) that supports extendable storage of up to 512GB.
With its 3020mAh battery, the Huawei Y5p at full charge can support 17 hours of continuous video playback, up to 21 hours of 4G calling, or 13 hours of internet surfing on 4G.

In addition to the battery, the device supports AI Power-saving technology that can detect background apps that consume too much power and automatically shut them down.
The Huawei Y5p is equipped with an 8MP rear camera that supports HDR mode. This mode offers specific brightness adjustments for photos by brightening the dark parts of shots and subduing the overexposed parts of shots. In this way, the camera can reproduce fine details while adding an extra dimension and an artful touch to photos.
The 5MP front camera on the device lets users snap great selfies with ease, while the front sensor can automatically detect ambient light conditions and provide optimal photos.
The smartphone is powered by MediaTek’s octa-core processor that includes eight Cortex-A53 cores. Together with Huawei’s very own AI scheduling technology, the smartphone delivers smooth and fast performance,
