How to watch the 2023 Billboard Music Awards

How to watch the 2023 Billboard Music Awards

With both the writers and SAG-AFTRA strikes coming to a close, awards season is finally in full swing. Next up, it’s time for the 2023 Billboard Music Awards. The BBMAs are getting a major makeover this year, so expect to see some changes including nine new awards categories, a global ceremony and an audience filled exclusively with die-hard fans (thanks to help from Spotify).

Taylor Swift leads the nominees this year with 20 nods. The mega star stands to surpass Drake as the individual with the most Billboard Music Awards won, and potentially break the record for most Billboard Music Awards won in one night (which is also held by Drake). Trailing behind Swift and tied for second place are SZA and Morgan Wallen with 17 nominations each.

Billboard is revealing new performers for this weekend’s awards show on the daily, and this year, artists will perform at unique locations worldwide, as opposed to taking one specific stage during the ceremony. The spots will be special for each performance, like Morgan Wallen’s planned performance of “98 Braves,” to an audience of former ‘98 Braves MLB players on their home field, Truist Park, in Atlanta, GA.

Ready to tune into the revamped Billboard Music Awards? Here’s how to watch the BBMAs this weekend.

When are the 2023 Billboard Music Awards?

This year’s Billboard Music Awards are on Sunday, Nov. 19 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT.

What channel are the Billboard Music Awards on?

The Billboard Music Awards won’t be airing on TV, but they will be streaming live on BBMAs.watch, as well as on the Billboard social channels.

Who is performing at the Billboard Music Awards this year?

The 2023 Billboard Music Awards will feature performances from Morgan Wallen, K-pop supergroup NewJeans, Bebe Rexha and more.

2023 Billboard Music Awards nominees:

Taylor Swift is the top finalist for this year’s BBMAs with a whopping 20 nominations. Morgan Wallen and SZA are tied for second place with 17 entries each; followed by The Weeknd with 16 nods, Drake and Zach Bryan are tied with 14 nominations apiece.
