Last month, BRYTE Skateboards released a series of short skate films and a ‘90s-inspired gear collection with Angry Orchard. Former Berrics collaborator and BRYTE pro Skategoat inspired Angry Orchard’s team to reach out to the Bryte team, leading to collaboration.
“I just saw Le’Andre on Instagram and I was just following him, he was just a dude that popped up in my nerdisphere,” said head cider maker for Angry Orchard, Royan Burke, in a new short film released by The Berrics. “Out of nowhere, our brand team was like ‘we should think about a skateboard thing.’”
The BRYTE team was invited to the Angry Orchard brewery in upstate New York before heading to New York City to survey the best skate spots and better understand the local skate culture.
“There’s, like, so much in a small, little area,” said BRYTE skater Sean Davis. “Every street has a spot.”
The nearly nine-minute-long video shows the skaters make their way to iconic locations across New York, including the Unisphere in Flushing, Queens, noting the differences between East and West Coast skate culture.
