HOFA Gallery will unveil a new hybrid exhibition, entitled “Portrait of an Era” at their London location from September 23 to October 7. According to the gallery, the show is set to be the “world’s most valuable gallery NFT exhibition” with a number of blue-chip NFT collectibles and preeminent digital artwork, including Autoglyphs, Meebits, Fidenza‘s, CryptoPunks, and more.
Speaking on the latter, “Portrait of an Era” will feature six rare sealed CryptoPunks, which are presented as unique lithograph prints that are signed by Larva Labs Co-Founder, John Watkinson. There are only 24 of these prints in existence, all of which contain a special wax-sealed envelope that contains the 12-word ‘seed-phrase’ that grants ownership and access to the respective NFT online.
The artwork being exhibited is estimated to be worth over $20m USD and will also showcase sculptural work by the likes of Dutch artist Joseph Klibansky, and a canvas artwork entitled The Last Warrior, by French-Iranian artist, Sepand Danesh.
“Portrait of an Era” explores the rise of digital art and how the boundaries between digital and traditional art are being bridged. The exhibition will be on view to the public from September 23 to October 7. An online iteration of the show will also be available across HOFA’s VR mobile and web app, HOFA.io.
Elsewhere in art, a new Van Gogh drawing has been discovered in Amsterdam.
