Custom Land Rover builder HIMALAYA has now unveiled its latest creation: a $200,000 USD Series IIA. An iconic predecessor to the now legendary Land Rover Defender, the Series IIA now receives a handful of welcome upgrades from the custom workshop to bring its performance up to modern standards. Sitting at the heart of the off-roader is a V6 engine sourced from GM that’s capable of pushing out 300 horsepower and 340 pound-feet of torque, though you’ll also have the option of a TDI diesel version.
Elsewhere on the vehicle, you’ll also find an updated coil-sprung chassis for a more comfortable ride while an enhanced off-road suspension package allows the custom Series IIA to tackle even harsher terrains. Other upgrades include custom disc brakes, integrated Defender axles, power steering, and a restored interior with modern gadgets, all sitting on top of 18-inch paint-matched steel Wolf wheels.
