HIMALAYA Constructs a $200,000 USD Custom Land Rover Series IIA

Custom Land Rover builder HIMALAYA has now unveiled its latest creation: a $200,000 USD Series IIA. An iconic predecessor to the now legendary Land Rover Defender, the Series IIA now receives a handful of welcome upgrades from the custom workshop to bring its performance up to modern standards. Sitting at the heart of the off-roader is a V6 engine sourced from GM that’s capable of pushing out 300 horsepower and 340 pound-feet of torque, though you’ll also have the option of a TDI diesel version.

Elsewhere on the vehicle, you’ll also find an updated coil-sprung chassis for a more comfortable ride while an enhanced off-road suspension package allows the custom Series IIA to tackle even harsher terrains. Other upgrades include custom disc brakes, integrated Defender axles, power steering, and a restored interior with modern gadgets, all sitting on top of 18-inch paint-matched steel Wolf wheels.

For those interested, you can learn more about HIMALAYA’s builds and the Defender Series IIA custom over on the company’s website.

In other automotive news, Land Rover has also offered a preview of its three-row Defender 130.
