If there was ever a brand to embody the trend of quiet luxury, Hermès would be it. For Fall/Winter 2024, creative director Véronique Nichanian has delivered a collection that sees versatility at the forefront.
Hermès’ equestrian roots are subtle in this collection as Nichanian gives an elegant take to the dandy chic. With tweeds and wool mixed together, the collection transports you to the English countryside fantasy but with the leather accents, be it in accessories or bomber rider jackets, the collection has an edgier aesthetic as well. This time around, slim tailoring hits the suiting silhouettes, similar to that from previous seasons. Outerwear classics were reworked with subtle accents mostly through leather additions. Various forms of menswear wardrobe essentials take over the collection with a key black A-2 flight jacket in leather and belted long leather coats and knitwear featuring mixed argyle patters.
The collection sees a palette of dusty greys and classic black and brown with tints of earthy greens and pale purples. Accessories to mention include crocodile leather belts and boots as well as cashmere beanies, canvas bucket hats and the equestrian print hitting the canvas bag and Haut à Courroies bags.
