Sony PlayStation has revealed its new PS5 Pulse 3D wireless headset in a new colorway. Offered in a sleek, “Midnight Black,” the headset is set to match the same color scheme as the DualSense “Midnight Black” wireless controllers, though both come in a subtly different shade of black.
The headsets are expected to elevate the experience of PS5 gameplay as these compatible headsets offer a three-dimensional audio experience. Designed to specifically take advantage of the console’s Tempest 3D AudioTech, the Pulse 3D headset offers fine-tuned frequency response to help users play with more precision that matches exact locations of on-screen gameplay.
The update for the PS5 now offers a new equalizer control feature for the headset, separate from the continued efforts of the PS5’s original audio. Users of the headsets will be able to select from three presets including Standard, Bass Boost or Shooter, which is designed to emphasize the sounds of footsteps and shots fired. Users will also be able to set up their won presets and adjust the equalizer at any time during gameplay.
