Hennessey Performance Unveils 850HP Mustang Dark Horse

Texas-based Hennessey Performance, known for its custom hypercar and high-performance vehicle creations has announced its latest offering — a turn-key 850hp seventh-gen S650 Ford Mustang Dark Horse.

Dubbed the H850, Hennessey’s take on the vehicle features a variety of technical and aesthetic upgrades, from a high-performance supercharger to bold racing stripes. Other details, which lend to the nearly 70 percent increase in power include an upgraded high-flow air induction system, fuel injectors and a new fuel pump. In addition to its hp increase, the vehicle also produces 650 lb-ft of torque and is calibrated to an upgraded HPE Engine Management software.

“Our supercharged Mustang builds have continually been customer favorites over the years, and Ford’s improved S650 platform will prove to be its most capable,” shared John Hennessey, the company’s founder and CEO, adding “Without question, our supercharged 850 horsepower Dark Horse model will be one of the most exciting and powerful muscle cars on the road — sure to turn heads with its distinctive supercharger wail and exhaust note.”

Other details sure to turn heads, aside from the massive racing stripes, include carbon-fiber elements found on the front splitter, side skirts and rear spoiler. Additional cosmetic upgrades include forged aluminum alloy wheels, embroidered head restraints, Hennessey badging and optional “Heritage” graphics.

Full options list, additional imagery and price have yet to be shared at the time of writing.

The H850 Ford Mustang Dark Horse is available for order now via inquiry on Hennessey’s official site, with the delivery of production models expected to begin in quarter four of this year.
