The delay of the electric truck hasn’t stopped Tesla from working on some gear to accompany it. The company teamed up with Heimplanet, a maker of tents and tarps, for a product that makes the Cybertruck a vehicle a bit more conducive to camping.
The Heimplanet x Tesla Cybertruck Basecamp attaches to the car to form an inflatable tent with a “geodesic air-frame design.” It can be inflated in just a few minutes using an air pump and doesn’t require the attachment of any additional poles.
A kaleidoscope-printed nylon provides protection from the elements, alongside an extendable awning that stretches out beyond the truck bed. An included inflatable mattress is designed to comfortably fit within the truck bed, while clear walls offer views of the outside landscape even once nestled inside.
The Cybertruck Basecamp is available now on Tesla’s website for $2,975 USD, with shipping and installation included in the purchase price.
