Healthy Living: Breast Cancer Awareness Month with Lee Health

LEE COUNTY, Fla. — Today, we welcomed Breast Health Nurse Navigator Liz Bachoo-Garib, with Lee Health, into the ABC7 studio to talk about the Nurse Navigation Program designed to help patients through their cancer journey.

When someone is diagnosed and treated with breast cancer, Lee Health offers the free Nurse Navigation Program to help them schedule appointments, talk to doctors, get therapy, and whatever else they may need.

Breast Health Nurse Navigators provide care for patients with both malignant and benign tumors. They specialize in one-on-one encouragement, explaining treatments, and connecting patients with services.

Patients can receive a Nurse Navigator through the following locations:

  • Lee Health Cancer Institute in Fort Myers at 8931 Colonial Center Dr., Fort Myers: 239-343-9500
  • Bonita Springs at 3501 Health Center Blvd., Bonita Springs: 239-343-9500
