HBO has released the official trailer for the upcoming Max series, Dune: Prophecy.
The visual was unveiled during a panel at New York Comic Con alongside the premiere date announcement of Sunday, November 17, with the six-episode inaugural season debuting every Sunday. The new series takes place 10,000 years before the story of Paul Atreides, who is portrayed by Timothée Chalemet in the Denis Villeneuve’s Dune movie franchise, and is inspired by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson’s Sisterhood of Dune novel. Prophecy “follows two Harkonnen sisters as they combat forces that threaten the future of humankind, and establish the fabled sect that will become known as the Bene Gesserit.”
Joining the main cast are Emily Watson, Olivia Williams, Travis Fimmel, Jodhi May, Mark Strong, Sarah-Sofie Boussnina, Josh Heuston, Chloe Lea, Jade Anouka, Faoileann Cunningham, Edward Davis, Aoife Hinds, Chris Mason, Shalom Brune-Franklin, Camilla Beeput, Jihae, Tabu, Charithra Chandran, Jessica Barden, Emma Canning, and Yerin Ha.
