Gucci Mane has employed Lil Durk for a new track, “Rumors.”
The song marks the duo’s first joint project since “War Wit Us (Remix),” which was released in 2014. “Rumors” arrived with an accompanying Jerry Production-directed visual, which sees the two rappers hanging out with their friends while showing off their ice and swapping verses.
“This gone be a street smash when we drop this,” Gucci wrote on Instagram one day prior to the single’s release.
The collaboration arrives as both artists have been keeping busy with several other projects. Lil Durk recently unveiled dates for his “The 7220 Tour,” which kicks off on April 8 at the Arizona Federal Theatre in Phoenix, Arizona and closes in his home of Chicago, with a total of 17 stops. The young rapper also just made an appearance on the theme song for 50 Cent‘s FORCE, dubbed “Power Powder Respect,” with Jeremih.
Meanwhile, Gucci Mane last month closed out his compilation mixtape So Icy Christmas with a new track and video titled “Long Live Dolph,” which pays tribute to his late friend Young Dolph who was fatally shot outside of a bakery in his hometown of Memphis in November.
