Gorillaz isn’t’ headed on tour quite yet but the band will be performing a string of limited shows. The long-running British group has announced “The Getaway Shows,” a compact run of concerts across the United States.
Commencing this September, “The Getaway Shows” will see the band perform in four cities: Los Angeles, Austin, Chicago and Boston. While the trek is short, the performances will be larger than life, taking place at stadiums and amphitheaters.
The run is expected to be the final dose of shows from Gorillaz in support of their latest LP, Cracker Island. For “The Getaway Shows,” the band will be enlisting a few supporting acts, bringing on Kaytranada, Lil Yachty and Remi Wolf.
A general sale for tickets to “The Getaway Shows” will open up online on Friday, June 2.
